Analysis of Hydrothermal Solid Fuel Characteristics Using Waste Wood and Verification of Scalability through a Pilot Plant

Increases in energy demand and waste are a major cause of natural resource depletion environmental pollution, technology capable processing to convert it into is required mitigate this issue. Hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) an example that can energy, various studies have been conducted using for fuel conversion. This study focused on the production solid equivalent coal power generation through HTC processes wood. Unlike previous work, which consists only laboratory-scale experiments, we confirmed scalability pilot-scale experiments. Overall, was possible wood with calorific value over 27,000 kJ/kg pilot plant process. Additionally, heavy metal hazardous substance analyses proved be used as biosolid fuel.
